Biography

Mattia Vlad Morleo was born in Fasano (BR) on October 10, 2000.

He began studying music at the age of 8, learning to play the piano, and later graduated at 21 from the "N. Piccinni" Music Conservatory in Bari.

In 2016, he embarked on his recording career, and in 2017, several tracks from his debut album were used as the soundtrack for the film How to Spell Revenge by American director Ryan Ishii.

Between 2018 and 2020, he composed the soundtrack for the documentary Fossoli – A Camera for Hell by director Massimo Vincenzi (Rai Storia / History Channel) and for the film Santa Subito by Italian director Alessandro Piva, which won the 2019 Rome Film Festival. During this time, he also collaborated with photographer Paolo Barretta (aka "Iamwinter"), winner of Master of Photography on Sky Arte, for Until I Bleed.

Between 2021 and 2022, he composed the music for Procedure De Liberation, a performance by artist Chiara Luzzitelli, presented at the Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art. He also wrote the soundtrack for the documentary Drawing the Holocaust by Massimo Vincenzi (Rai Storia) and collaborated with Vogue Germany to create music for two commercials featured at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. In the same year, he was honored with the Nino Rota Award 2022.

In 2023, he composed the soundtrack for the docufilm Diaries from the Holocaust by Massimo Vincenzi (Rai Storia), completing a trilogy on the Holocaust. He also scored the film The Great Male by Italian director Mario Tani, which was presented as a special event at the Bifest 2023 Film Festival before its theatrical release.

He has performed concerts across Europe, with notable venues including Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, Bella Arena in Copenhagen, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Detect Classic Festival, and Time Zones Festival.
